UAE unveils massive 25mn sq ft ‘Downtown UAQ’ development project

The heir prince of UMM Al Quuwain, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saud Rashid al Mualla, has presented plans for a new extensive development called Downtown UAQ Douning a ceremony in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of UAQ.

The project, described as a ‘coastal city within a city’, covers 25 million square feet and has 11 kilometers of coast, including 7 kilometers from Beach and Beach Park, the Emirates news agency (WAM) He said in a statement.

The development is structured around three districts: North Beach, Trade Center and South Beach.

The UAQ center will include a commercial center, commercial offices, hotels and five -star resorts, entertainment facilities, retail destinations and residential communities.

The project is designed for accommodation of approximately 150,000 residents and aims to balance residential, commercial and public spaces.

Sobha Realty, a multinational developer, has been associated with the UMM Al Qaiwain government for the project. The first phase will include residential, commercial and hospitality communities.

“The center of the UAQ is not simply a project, but a vision given to life. We are proud to associate with the UMM government to Quuwain to create a destination that embodies innovation, sustainability and the Sobha Menon Group, founder or founder.

A key development feature is a free center free zone of 15 million square feet, which will operate under an independent legal framework to attract international companies and investments.

The project emphasizes environmental sustainability, with more than 50 percent of the country dedicated to open and green spaces.

Development will also implement water -sensitive landscape and conservation strategies.
