Eau eid al adha 2025 expected dates
The EAU legislation declared that Arafat’s day will be the ninth day of Dhul Hijja and will be a holiday.
This will be immediately followed by the adha, which will be from Dhul Hijja 10 to 12 in the Islamic calendar.
Islamic holidays are based on the Hijri calendar and are based on the moon cycle and lunar sightings, so the corresponding official dates will only be announced closer to real time.
However, based on current forecasts, Arafat’s day will land on Thursday, June 5.
This will mean that Eid al Adha 2025 at the EAU is likely to begin on Friday, June 6 and Sunday, June 8.
The EAU cabinet said that the holidays “cannot be transferred to another day in the event that it coincides with another holiday or falls the weekend.”
Since on Saturday-Domingo is a typical weekend in the United Arab Emirates, it would mean a four-day holiday to EID at Adha 2025 from Thursday, June 5 until Sunday, June 8.
